I’m in awe of Las Vegas.
While the rest of us struggle, Vegas thrives.
While the rest of us work our tails off to market our goods and services, Vegas rocks on, making millions and millions of dollars every year. What in the world are they doing that we aren’t? How can they make so much money while the rest of us—all good, hard working people—struggle to make a buck? What does Vegas know that you and I don’t?
Yes, they have bright lights, glitter, glamour and gold. But come on, it’s a desert. It’s hot. And dry. And people lose money there. Yet they return again and again. And they leave smiling.
Why?
I’ll tell you why. It’s because Las Vegas practices some very clever marketing techniques—methods you may never have heard of, thought of, or even ever read about before. Fortunately, I managed to discover the inside secrets of Vegas style marketing this past year.

I have a dear friend who lives in Vegas. He’s a doctor to the stars. He’s introduced me to show men and show girls, gotten me into headline acts, and taken me back stage at major events to meet super stars. We even filmed a trio of videos in Vegas at one time a few years ago.
This guy has been involved with infomercials, has been on national TV, and has had national media coverage. He sold 150,000 audiotapes via infomercials. He’s no slouch when it comes to marketing.
His name is Dr. Scott Lewis. He has a Vegas show every Monday night at the Riviera hotel. And every Monday night it’s sold out.
Why?
Because Scott uses Las Vegas style marketing to pack the house.
He uses what we now call Impulse Marketing to get people into his show. He also uses the same principles to get national media attention—including television coverage by Barbara Walters and full-page write-ups in the Sun and Globe.
When I learned that Scott wanted to write a book about the secrets of Vegas style marketing, and he asked me if I would help him with it, I leaped at the chance. After months of intense work, we finished it. We call it: Impulse Marketing.
